QUANTITY SURVEYOR - ESTIMATOR - MECHANICAL - DUBLIN

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client one of the leading Irish owned companies specialising in
the provision of complete Hard Services Maintenance & Facility
Supports.

Due to an increase in works, they are recruiting for an experienced
Mechanical Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join the team based in
Dublin *. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join our ever-expanding company

The successful candidate’s role will involve the following:

Responsible for the preparation of tenders.

Issue tender queries and prepare tender reports.

Ensure the tenders are submitted and processed on time, follow up on
tenders and documents, and record any feedback.

Assist in compiling the Technical Submission of inclusions,
exclusions, clarifications and program of works.

Appraise tender documents and prepare estimates as necessary.

Provide effective commercial and contractual support to operations
teams in accordance with procedures.

Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors and internal team members in
relation to pricing variations.

Quantify material, plant and labour requirements for relevant
projects.

Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.

Monitor project costs against budgets, identify problems /
opportunities and recommend / implement changes where necessary.

Liaise with clients and consultants from initial enquiries through to
final accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years’ experience working as a QS (ideally Construction based).

Certificate or Diploma in Building Services, Quantity Surveying,
Construction Studies or similar.

Experience working in an Estimation team in a Mechanical Engineering
company.
